"Way back, some 25 years ago, my mom spruced up her kitchen with some quartz counter tops and hired John Thomas to paint the kitchen. He did a superb job and the kitchen cabinets looked fresh and new!

We have been hiring John Thomas and his team of painters ever since. He painted the interior of our townhome a few time, when we first moved in and then again when it became a rental property.

John uses high quality paint, and a skilled high quality team of painters who spend a lot of time prepping the job to make sure everything is masked out and protected.

When he painted the exterior of our home in 2015, it sold very quickly soon after. It was gorgeous and I was sorry I didn’t paint the house sooner to enjoy it more.

“I would highly recommend Thomas Painting for any of your exterior and interior painting projects. John and his crew communicate and follow up well, report to the job on time every day, clean up every day, are respectful of property, and they do beautiful work.

Since we had three new custom bay windows and two custom picture windows installed, there was some stucco repair and patching to be done. In addition, the wood frame around the outer door to the garage was in bad shape.

John’s crew power-washed and prepped, patched and sanded, painting the exterior stucco, wood trim and facia, walls up the stairs leading to the deck, retaining walls in the courtyard and around the firepit, and the chimney.

Everything looks absolutely great and many neighbors have remarked on how nice our house looks. The exterior team was always on time, respectful of the property and always cleaned up after themselves. I hardly knew they were there.

Then it was time for the interior to be painted. This was a HUGE job and included the entire house, upstairs and down. There was A LOT of prep work to be done. John’s crew led by Carlos and rounded out by Luis and Marvin were amazing.

They scraped ceilings, removed original baseboards and installed new ones. They caulked and patched around the new windows. They patched and filled holes from old telephone landlines, satellite dish TV and cable lines, and my son’s weights. The guest room had one whole wall of wood panels and mirrors.

At my request, they removed it only to find wallpaper that they had to remove before patching, sanding and painting.

John’s crew was clean, efficient and respectful. They were also a lot of fun, while making sure I was happy and satisfied with what they were doing.

For example, I had chosen a color for my son’s room that turned out to be awful. They had just started to apply it and said, “oh, no.” Carlos immediately hopped in his truck and tracked me down walking my dog to have me come home and look at the color. He was right. It was awful. We chose a different color and the room looks great.

John also helped me choose colors for the master bedroom, my office and guest room, too. Everything turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

We did a virtual tour of our house with my mother-in-law who lives back east. She said it looked like a model home.
